Today I am sharing GULKAND BREAD recipe with you. Gulkand is made with rose petals.
It has very nice aroma of rose. My mom brought gulkand for me from India. So I was thinking to make something with this and made gulkand bread. This bread is made without sugar. Hope you like it.
Ingredients:-
Gulkand – ½ cup
All-purpose flour – 1 ½ cups
Baking soda – 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1tsp
Salt – a pinch
Milk – 1 cup
Melted Butter – ½ cup
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Directions:-
1) Pre heat the oven at 350 degree F.
2) Grease bread loaf pan with butter.
3) In a large bowl add all dry ingredients flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and mix well.
4) Take another large mixing bowl add milk and gulkand and mix well. Gulkand has honey like consistency, so it will take time to mix with milk.
5) Now add all dry ingredients and mix well.
6) Add melted butter and mix well.
7) Now add lemon juice and mix it again.
8) Pour the batter in baking pan and give a nice tap.
9) Bake it for 20 – 25 mins or until done.
10) Take a toothpick test for best results.
11) Take out the bread out of oven and let it cool down completely.
12) Now demold the bread from pan and cut even slices.
13) Enjoy this gulkand bread with tea or coffee.
